Nihon Goshin Aikido
Aikido is a Japanese Martial Art. The Literal translation is "The Way in Harmony with the Spirit." Defensive in nature, the style guides an attacker's committed momentum into a circular motion that allows the attacker to be thrown or controlled by his own force.
The Nihon Goshin curriculum combines traditional Aikido in a closer combat fighting distance with modern teaching techniques. Three arts combined into NGA are Judo which give throws, Japanese Jiujitsu adding joint locks, and some basic Karate striking techniques. This gives the student a broader choice of defense.
